Successfully Delivering Project Cargo: From Qingdao to Mardie, Western Australia

The Challenge

Shipping project cargo of this scale to a remote mining site requires more than just moving freight, it demands precision logistics, meticulous planning, and seamless execution. Our 1UP Cargo team was entrusted with 6 x 40’ open-top containers from Qingdao, China, destined for a mining site in Mardie, Western Australia.

The 1UP SolutionFrom the outset, our team took ownership of the end-to-end operation. Once the cargo arrived at Fremantle port, we coordinated clearance, unpacking, inspection, and final delivery to the site. We worked closely with the appointed transporter and warehouse to capture necessary photographs and evidence of handling, ensuring full documentation for our client and internal quality control.

Our operational process included detailed load planning, compliance oversight, multi-modal coordination, customs clearance, and milestone communications between Qingdao, Fremantle, and site delivery teams. Everyone involved understood that even small delays in this remote region could impact the project timeline.
